聖書：使徒の働き17章28-29節
28,『私たちは神の中に生き、動き、存在している』のです。あなたがたのうちのある詩人たちも、『私たちもまた、その子孫である』と言ったとおりです。
29,そのように私たちは神の子孫ですから、神である方を金や銀や石、人間の技術や考えで造ったものと同じであると、考えるべきではありません。（新改訳2017)
28,私たちは神の中に生き、動き、存在しているからです。皆さんのうちのある詩人たちも、『我らもその子孫である』と言っているとおりです。
29,私たちは神の子孫なのですから、神である方を、人間の技や考えで刻んだ金、銀、石などの像と同じものと考えてはなりません。
28 ἐν αὐτῷ γὰρ ζῶμεν
En auto gar zomen
in him for we-live
καὶ κινούμεθα καὶ ἐσμέν,
kai kinoumetha kai esmen
and move and exist
ὡς καί τινες τῶν καθʼ ὑμᾶς
os kai tines ton kath hymas

ποιητῶν εἰρήκασιν·

τοῦ γὰρ καὶ γένος ἐσμέν.

29 γένος οὖν ὑπάρχοντες τοῦ θεοῦ

offspring therefore (because we are) of God
οὐκ ὀφείλομεν νομίζειν χρυσῷ

ἢ ἀργύρῳ ἢ λίθῳ, χαράγματι τέχνης
e argyro e litho charagmati techynes
or silver or stone an-image-formed
καὶ ἐνθυμήσεως ἀνθρώπου,
kai enthymeseos anthropou

τὸ θεῖον εἶναι ὅμοιον.
